They consist of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies. Each lot maintains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability seen in polyclonal antibody production.
Formerly referred to as “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, this product has been rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody” with identical performance and composition.
Target Information
IRF3 (interferon regulatory factor 3) is a transcriptional regulator of type I interferon (IFN)-dependent immune responses, crucial for defense against DNA and RNA viruses. It activates transcription of IFN-alpha, IFN-beta, and interferon-stimulated genes (ISG) by binding to interferon-stimulated response elements (ISRE) in their promoters.
Upon viral infection or toll-like receptor signaling, IRF3 is phosphorylated by IKBKE and TBK1, leading to dimerization, nuclear translocation, and activation of IFN gene transcription. Mutations in IRF3 are associated with acute infection-induced encephalopathy.
