Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Suggested positive controls include skin, breast carcinoma, or ovarian carcinoma.
Target Information
Claudin-1 is a transmembrane protein located in cell-cell tight junctions and acts as a co-receptor for HCV entry into hepatic cells.
It is abundant in luminal epithelial sheets where it helps maintain epithelial cell polarity.
Claudin-1 is expressed in tissues such as bladder, fallopian tube, liver, pancreas, prostate, and skin.
