For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Mannose (or mannan)-binding lectin (MBL), also known as serum mannose-binding protein (MBP), initiates the lectin branch of the innate immune response by binding to pathogenic microorganisms and triggering complement fixation.
MBL interacts with MASP-1, MASP-2, MASP-3, and a truncated form (sMAP or MAp19) to activate the lectin pathway of the complement system.
Activated MASPs cleave and activate downstream complement components. MASP-3, an alternatively spliced product of the MASP-1 gene, may inhibit MASP-2 by competing for MBL binding.
