Product Specific Information
0.5 µg/mL of MA5-45285 was sufficient for detection of MDC1 in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis. Detects approximately 184 kDa. This antibody recognizes MDC1 at and around the N-terminus.
Target Information
MDC1 participates in the early response to DNA damage. It is thought to be a member of the BRCT (BRCA1 C-terminus) superfamily of nuclear proteins. It contains an N-terminus forkhead-associated (FHA) motif, two C-terminus BRCT motifs, and 13 internal repetitions of a 41 amino acid sequence.
