Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed):
    • Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
    • For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Fibronectin is a disulfide-bonded dimer (230–250 kDa) found in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues and vessels. It exists as an insoluble, cross-linked polymer and as a soluble plasma protein.
Fibronectin plays a key role in cell adhesion, migration, embryonic development, wound healing, coagulation, and metastasis.
Increased expression of fibronectin, especially in non-small cell lung carcinoma, enhances tumorigenicity and resistance to apoptosis.
The fibronectin gene undergoes alternative splicing, potentially producing up to 20 transcript variants.
