Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The Rho subfamily of small GTP-binding proteins mediates many fundamental cellular functions. Members such as Rho, Rac, and CDC42 regulate actin reorganization and influence cellular adhesion, cytokinesis, and motility.
RhoH (also known as TTF or ras homolog gene family member H) differs from most small G proteins in that it is expressed primarily in hematopoietic cells and tissues. Translocations and frequent RhoH mutations have been detected in primary lymphoma cells, and expression is also observed in activated neutrophils.
RhoH is GTPase-deficient, remaining in a GTP-bound activated state without cycling, and may play a role in T-cell differentiation and cytoskeletal organization. The RhoH/TTF (ARHH) gene maps to chromosome 4p13 and encodes a 191-amino acid polypeptide.
