Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with the primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature. A suggested positive control is placenta tissue.
Target Information
TGFBR1 is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase in the TGFBR1 superfamily, which also includes ACVRs and BMPRs. Upon binding TGF-β, TGFBR2 dimerizes with and activates TGFBR1 via phosphorylation, leading to downstream phosphorylation of SMADs. TGFBR1 forms a heteromeric complex with type II TGF-β receptors to transduce the signal from the cell surface to the cytoplasm. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Loeys-Dietz aortic aneurysm syndrome (LDAS).
