Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The DBN1 gene encodes a cytoplasmic actin-binding protein involved in neuronal growth. It belongs to the drebrin family, developmentally regulated in the brain. Reduced levels of this protein have been associated with memory disturbances in Alzheimer’s disease. Multiple splice variants producing different isoforms have been reported.
