Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic actin-binding protein thought to play a role in neuronal growth. It belongs to the drebrin family of proteins that are developmentally regulated in the brain. A decrease in this protein level has been implicated in memory disturbance associated with Alzheimer’s disease. At least two alternative splice variants encoding different protein isoforms have been described.
