Target Information

MAPK13 (p38 delta) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in transducing extracellular signals such as cytokine and environmental stress responses. It regulates keratinocyte differentiation and is activated by phosphorylation or interaction with MAP3K7IP1/TAB1. Substrates include ATF2, MEF2C, MAX, CDC25B, and p53, indicating roles in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle control, and genotoxic stress response. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
