Target Information
The MAGEB1 gene belongs to the MAGEB family, whose members have coding sequences located in the last exon and share 50–68% sequence identity. Promoter and first exon variability suggests differential transcriptional regulation.
This gene is located in the DSS (dosage-sensitive sex reversal) region, expressed in testis and various tumor types, and clustered on chromosome Xp22-p21. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though some full-length forms remain undefined.
