Target Information

The MAGEB1 gene belongs to the MAGEB gene family. Members of this family have coding sequences located entirely in the last exon and share 50–68% sequence identity. Promoters and first exons vary considerably, enabling differential transcriptional control.
This gene is located in the DSS (dosage-sensitive sex reversal) critical region and is expressed in testis and various tumor types. MAGEB family members are clustered on chromosome Xp22-p21. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though the full-length nature of some remains undefined.
