Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사 인자 계열의 구성원으로, 사이토카인 및 성장 인자에 반응하여 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화됩니다. 이후 핵으로 이동하여 전사 활성화자로 작용합니다. IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화됩니다.
STAT5 alpha의 활성화는 TEL/JAK2 유전자 융합과 관련된 골수종 및 림프종에서 종양 형성에 필수적임이 보고되었습니다. 생쥐 STAT5 alpha는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 항아포토시스 기능을 수행합니다. STAT5 alpha와 STAT5 beta는 96%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며 대부분의 조직에서 함께 발현됩니다. 두 단백질은 생식, 수유, 면역 기능 및 체성 성장 등 다양한 생리학적 기능에 관여합니다.
