Target Information

N6-methyladenosine (m6A), or methylation of the N6 position of adenosine, is a posttranscriptional modification of RNA. Although historically poorly understood due to limited analytical methods, recent evidence indicates that it is one of the most common base modifications and serves as an important physiological regulator.

N6-methyladenosine levels increase significantly during brain development and are enriched near stop codons, microRNA-binding sites, and UTRs, suggesting a fundamental role in gene expression regulation. This modification is highly conserved between human and mouse.
