Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Serpin A1, Serpin A3, Serpin F1, and recombinant mouse Serpin E1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Vaspin은 주로 내장 백색 지방 조직에서 발현되는 새로운 adipocytokine으로, Serpin 계열 단백질의 구조적 특징인 세 개의 β-sheet, 아홉 개의 α-helix, 그리고 하나의 중심 루프를 가지고 있습니다.
Serpin 계열 단백질은 α1-antitrypsin과 30% 이상의 서열 상동성을 가지며, 혈액 응고, 섬유소 용해, 보체 활성화, 혈관신생, 염증, 종양 억제 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Vaspin은 α1-antitrypsin과 40.2%의 서열 동일성을 가지지만, 그 프로테아제 억제 활성은 아직 알려지지 않았습니다.
비만 마우스에 Vaspin을 투여하면 포도당 내성과 인슐린 감수성이 개선되며, 당뇨 및 비만 관련 adipocytokine의 발현이 정상화되는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
이러한 결과는 Vaspin이 대사증후군 관련 이상을 개선하는 데 잠재적 임상적 활용 가능성이 있음을 시사합니다.
