Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) ubiquitously expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues.
CD45 glycoprotein plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
CD45 is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine regulation, and integrin-mediated survival pathways.
