Target Information
The MAGEA3 gene belongs to the MAGEA gene family, whose members share 50–80% sequence identity. Variability in promoters and first exons allows differential transcriptional control while maintaining similar functions. These genes are clustered at chromosomal location Xq28 and have been associated with certain hereditary disorders such as dyskeratosis congenita.
