SLCO1B3는 Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptides (OATPs) 계열 단백질로, 나트륨 비의존성 유기 음이온 수송체입니다. 다양한 내인성 및 외인성 화합물(담즙산, 호르몬 결합체, 펩타이드, 독소, 치료 약물 등)의 세포 내 흡수를 매개합니다. 정상 조건에서는 간에서 특이적으로 발현되며, 대장, 전립선, 췌장 등 여러 암 조직에서도 발현이 보고되었습니다. 분자량은 당화 정도에 따라 달라지며, 탈당화 형태는 약 65 kDa, 완전 당화 형태는 약 120 kDa입니다.
