Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Human MAX/MYC associated factor X.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLHZ) family of transcription factors. It can form homodimers and heterodimers with other family members such as Mad, Mxi1, and Myc.
Myc is an oncoprotein involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. These dimers compete for a common DNA target site (the E box), and their rearrangement provides a complex system of transcriptional regulation.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene, though the full-length nature of some remains unknown.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
