Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody shows specificity for Mouse Inhibin beta A (INHBA).

Target Information

Activins are dimeric growth and differentiation factors belonging to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. They signal through receptor serine kinases, including type I (I and IB) and type II (II and IIB) receptors. These transmembrane proteins consist of a ligand-binding extracellular domain, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic serine/threonine kinase domain.

Type I receptors are essential for signaling, while type II receptors are required for ligand binding and type I receptor expression. Upon ligand binding, type I and II receptors form a stable complex, leading to phosphorylation of type I receptors by type II receptors.

Mutations in Activin A are associated with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva.
