Product Specific Information
The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and some dendritic cells. LPS-LBP complexes bind to monocytes via CD14 with high affinity.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test
- Excitation/Emission: 405 nm / 702 nm (Violet Laser)
- Recommended Filter: 710/50 bandpass
Super Bright 702 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser and emits at 702 nm. Use Super Bright Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4400) when combining multiple Super Bright dyes to minimize non-specific interactions.
Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to avoid photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333).
Super Bright Polymer Dyes are sold under license from Becton, Dickinson and Company.
Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and is released into serum in soluble form. CD14 interacts with LPS-binding protein (LBP) and plays a role in immune responses, apoptosis, and inflammation. Dysfunctions are associated with infections such as Mycobacterium chelonae and Croup.
