Product Specific Information

This 3G8 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD16, also known as the low-affinity Fc gamma RIII. CD16 exists as two isoforms: FcγRIIIA and FcγRIIIB.

• FcγRIIIA: Expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and NK cells
• FcγRIIIB: Detected on neutrophils

Expression patterns vary among primate species. Binding of IgG triggers antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), phagocytosis, cytokine release, and antigen presentation.

Cross-blocking studies: 3G8 recognizes the same epitope as CB16 but distinct from B73.1.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry of human and rhesus peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL total volume).

Super Bright 702 is a tandem dye excited at 405 nm and emits at 702 nm. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when combining multiple Super Bright dyes to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333).
