Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21). The antibody was purified by antigen affinity chromatography using an immobilized Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) by sandwich ELISA, use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When combined with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) (500-P114Bt) as detection antibody, the assay can detect 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant protein.
Western Blot:
To detect Murine Exodus-2 (CCL21) by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. Detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
This gene is part of the CC cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 9p. CC cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The encoded protein inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis, being chemotactic for thymocytes and activated T cells, but not for B cells, macrophages, or neutrophils. It may mediate lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs and acts as a high-affinity ligand for CCR7 on T and B lymphocytes.
