• Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
  Human, Gorilla, Orangutan, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Dog, Bat, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Sparrow, Chicken, Platypus (100%); Xenopus (94%); Goat (88%).
• For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
• After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

PAK6 is a serine/threonine kinase expressed in the testis and prostate. It associates with both the estrogen and androgen receptors. The p21-activated kinases (PAKs) are serine-threonine kinases that bind to the active forms of Cdc42 and Rac. They are divided into two groups:

• Group 1 (PAK1, 2, 3): Activated by Cdc42/Rac binding and involved in gene transcription, apoptosis, and cell morphology.
• Group 2 (PAK4, 5, 6): Not activated by Cdc42/Rac; PAK6 is activated by MAP kinase kinase 6 and p38 MAP kinase, suggesting a role in cellular stress response.
