Product Specific Information

The 145-2C11 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD3e, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR complex. The epsilon chain, along with CD3 gamma and delta, is essential for proper assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes and all mature T cells. Binding of 145-2C11 to TCR can initiate intracellular signaling leading to activation, proliferation, or apoptosis depending on assay conditions. It is widely used as a phenotypic marker for mouse T cells.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse thymocytes and splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation/Emission: 633–647 nm / 660 nm (Red Laser).
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

The CD3 subunit complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals in T cells and regulating TCR surface expression. It includes CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta chains, encoded by closely linked genes on human chromosome 11. These subunits associate with cytoplasmic signaling molecules via double tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most T lymphocytes and thymocytes, but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
