Description:
Monoclonal mouse IgG2b is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
This eBMG2b antibody has been reported for use in:

• Immunohistochemical staining of frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue sections
• Immunocytochemistry

Applications Tested:
Tested by immunocytochemistry on fixed and permeabilized cells.
Use isotype control at same concentration as experimental antibody.
Not validated for flow cytometry.

Filter Recommendation:
For eFluor™ 570 conjugates, use filters capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP; Emission 605/70).
Standard Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filters are acceptable.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens.
It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a role in:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity

Also involved in:

• Regulation of immune responses (T-cell activation, B-cell inhibition)
• Widely used in ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunotherapy/vaccine research.
