Target Information

ITGB1BP1 is a key regulator of integrin-mediated cell-matrix interaction signaling. It binds to the ITGB1 cytoplasmic tail, preventing activation of integrin alpha-5/beta-1 by talin or FERMT1.
Functions include:

• Regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, adhesion, and migration
• Controls beta-1 integrin focal adhesion dynamics
• Acts as a GDI regulating Rho family GTPases (CDC42, RAC1)
• Promotes osteoblast migration and bone mineralization
• Modulates angiogenesis via AKT and ERK1/2 signaling pathways
• Enhances MYC promoter transcriptional activity
