Product Specific Information

Antibody detects endogenous levels of RhoA only when phosphorylated at Serine 188.


Target Information

RhoA regulates a signal transduction pathway linking plasma membrane receptors to the assembly of focal adhesions and actin stress fibers. It is involved in a microtubule-dependent signal required for myosin contractile ring formation during cytokinesis and plays an essential role in cleavage furrow formation.
RhoA is required for apical junction formation in keratinocyte cell-cell adhesion and serves as a target for the yopT cysteine peptidase from Yersinia pestis and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.
It stimulates PKN2 kinase activity, may activate PLCE1, and is activated by ARHGEF2, which promotes GDP-GTP exchange.
RhoA is essential for SPATA13-mediated regulation of cell migration and adhesion assembly/disassembly.
The MEMO1-RHOA-DIAPH1 signaling pathway contributes to ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex, controlling localization of APC and CLASP2 to the membrane via GSK3B regulation. Membrane-bound APC allows MACF1 localization, required for microtubule capture and stabilization.
