Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The homeobox DNA-binding domain is a 60 amino acid motif conserved among many species, functioning in DNA binding via a helix-turn-helix structure. PRRX1 (Paired Related Homeobox 1), also known as PMX1 or PHOX1, is a 245 amino acid protein containing one OAR domain and one homeobox DNA-binding domain.
Localized to the nucleus, PRRX1 acts as a transcriptional co-activator enhancing the DNA-binding activity of serum response factor (SRF), mediating SRF-dependent gene expression involved in growth and differentiation.
Additionally, PRRX1 regulates creatine kinase-M transcriptional activity, contributing to mesodermal muscle type development. Two alternatively spliced isoforms, PMX1-A and PMX1-B, are known.
