For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Mesothelin was originally identified as a differentiation antigen of mesotheliomas, ovarian cystadenocarcinomas, and pancreatic adenocarcinomas. It is a GPI-anchored, cell-surface glycoprotein predominantly secreted by mesothelial cells.
Although normal mesothelial cells express Mesothelin at restricted levels, aberrant expression is observed in various cancers including endometrioid uterine adenocarcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas of the esophagus, stomach, lung, and cervix.

Proteolytic cleavage of Mesothelin produces a soluble fragment known as megakaryocyte potentiating factor (MPF), which stimulates megakaryocyte colony formation. Both Mesothelin and MPF are implicated in tumorigenesis, promoting tumor cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis.
