Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Oncogene ERBB4 (HER4) is a member of the type I receptor protein tyrosine kinase family that includes EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB3.
ERBB4 binds and is activated by neuregulins and other factors, inducing various cellular responses such as mitogenesis and differentiation.
It acts as a receptor for heregulin and mediates HGL-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation of itself.
ERBB4 signaling regulates cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.

ERBB4 expression is high in several breast carcinoma cell lines (T47-D, MDA-MB-453, BT-474, H3396), intermediate in MCF-7, MDA-MB-330, MDA-MB-361, and low or absent in MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-157, MDA-MB-468, SKBR-3.
Elevated ERBB4 levels have been observed in certain tumor cell lines, suggesting a potential role in malignancy.
