Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Oncogene ERBB4 (HER4) is a member of the type I receptor protein tyrosine kinase subfamily that includes EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB3.
ERBB4 binds and is activated by neuregulins and other factors, inducing cellular responses such as mitogenesis and differentiation.
It mediates tyrosine phosphorylation and regulates cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.

ERBB4 is predominantly expressed in several breast carcinoma cell lines and normal tissues including skeletal muscle, heart, pituitary, brain, and cerebellum.
High expression levels are observed in breast tumor cell lines T47-D, MDA-MB-453, BT-474, and H3396, with intermediate levels in MCF-7, MDA-MB-330, and MDA-MB-361.
Low or absent expression is found in MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-157, MDA-MB-468, and SKBR-3.
Elevated ERBB4 levels in certain human tumor cell lines suggest its potential role in malignancies.
