Product Specific Information
The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in embryo, fetus, and adult. CD41 associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) to form a receptor crucial for platelet function, binding adhesion molecules such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
SLAM-family markers CD48 and CD150 are used to identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). CD150⁺CD48⁻ bone marrow cells show strong reconstitution ability, enhanced when excluding CD41⁺ cells. Thus, CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ efficiently identifies HSCs.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse platelets. Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test in 100 µL final volume. Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titer for best performance.
Super Bright 436 is excited with the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) comprises two subunits (120 kDa α and 23 kDa β) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional receptor. CD41 mediates platelet aggregation and binds von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin upon vascular injury. Expressed mainly in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage, it is also present during early hematopoietic differentiation. CD41 dysfunction is linked to Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
