Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Human CD89/FCAR.
Target Information
The CD89 (FCAR) gene encodes a receptor for the Fc region of IgA and belongs to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
It is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on myeloid lineage cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, and eosinophils.
The receptor mediates immune responses to pathogens by interacting with IgA-opsonized targets, triggering:
- Phagocytosis
- Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
- Release of inflammatory mediators
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Not for resale without express authorization.
