Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

The FABP6 gene encodes the ileal fatty acid binding protein. Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are small, highly conserved cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP6 and FABP1 (liver FABP) can also bind bile acids. FABPs are involved in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. Transcript variants may arise through alternative promoters or splicing.
