• Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis:
A single precipitin arc was observed against anti-Goat Serum, biotin conjugated Goat IgG, and biotin conjugated BSA.
No reaction was observed against anti-Goat IgG F(c) or anti-Pepsin.

Target Information

Biotin is a water-soluble B complex vitamin (Vitamin B7).
It is required by all organisms and can only be synthesized by bacteria, yeasts, molds, algae, and some plant species.
Biotin is essential for incorporation of carbon dioxide into organic compounds and has a molecular weight of approximately 244 Da.
