This antibody detects endogenous levels of RanBP3 only when phosphorylated at Ser126.
Target Information
Ran binding protein 3 (RanBP3) is a member of the Ran GTPase binding proteins located at the nuclear pore complex (NPC) and plays an essential role in nucleocytoplasmic transport.
RANBP3 is expressed as two spliced forms, RanBP3a and RanBP3b, both containing two FXFG motifs characteristic of a subgroup of nucleoporins, a nuclear localization signal (amino acids 40–57), and a unique acidic C-terminus essential for its switch function.
