This antibody detects endogenous levels of ALK only when phosphorylated at Tyr1096.

Target Information

Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK) belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily and plays a vital role in brain development.
Mutations, rearrangements, and amplifications in the ALK gene have been identified in various tumors, including anaplastic large cell lymphoma, neuroblastoma, and non-small cell lung cancer.
Chromosomal rearrangements often result in a fusion gene combining the ALK gene (chromosome 2) and the nucleophosmin (NPM) gene (chromosome 5). The NPM-ALK fusion gene product is known to be oncogenic.
ALK encodes a receptor protein-tyrosine kinase with a transmembrane and extracellular domain, showing high sequence similarity to LTK, and is essential for neuronal development and function.
