Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK)는 insulin receptor superfamily에 속하며, 뇌 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
ALK 유전자의 돌연변이, 재배열 및 증폭은 다양한 종양(Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, Neuroblastoma, Non-small Cell Lung Cancer)에서 발견됩니다.
염색체 재배열은 가장 흔한 유전적 변이로, ALK 유전자의 3' 부분(염색체 2)과 NPM 유전자의 5' 부분(염색체 5)이 융합되어 NPM-ALK 융합 유전자를 형성합니다.
이 융합 단백질은 종양 형성에 관여하며, ALK는 LTK와 가장 높은 서열 유사성을 보입니다.
ALK는 신경계 특정 뉴런에 작용하여 뇌 발달에 중요한 역할을 수행합니다.
