Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The SF3A1 gene encodes subunit 1 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex. This complex includes subunits 1, 2, and 3, and is essential for converting 15S U2 snRNP into the active 17S particle that mediates pre-mRNA splicing.
Subunit 1 belongs to the SURP protein family, characterized by SURP motifs involved in RNA binding. The N-terminal region contains tandem SURP motifs, while the C-terminal region includes a proline-rich domain and a ubiquitin-like domain.
Binding studies indicate that SURP motifs are required for interaction with subunit 3, while sequences C-terminal to these motifs may interact with subunit 2.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
