Product Specific Information
The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in embryo and adult stages. It forms a receptor complex with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III), playing a major role in platelet adhesion and aggregation by binding fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
Studies show that CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ expression identifies hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) with high efficiency for long-term multilineage reconstitution in irradiated mice.

Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) comprises two subunits (120 kDa alpha and 23 kDa beta) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form an adhesive receptor. It mediates platelet aggregation and binds von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. Expressed mainly in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and early hematopoietic differentiation stages.
Diseases associated with CD41 dysfunction include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet-type 16 bleeding disorder.
