CDK2/cyclinO는 cyclin-dependent protein kinase 계열의 구성원으로, CyclinO와 복합체를 형성합니다. CyclinO는 UNG 유전자의 특정 단백질 아이소폼으로 핵에만 존재하며, uracil-DNA glycosylase 활성을 나타냅니다. CDK2/cyclinO 단백질 수준은 G1기 동안 증가하며, 세포 주기 동안 변동합니다. Cyclin A-cdk2는 G1/S 전환 시 최대 수준에 도달하며, DNA 복제 개시 복합체와 연관되어 있습니다. Rb 단백질은 in vivo에서 cdk2-cyclin E 및/또는 cdk2-cyclin A의 기질로 작용합니다. Cdk2는 G1 후반기, S기, G2기 동안 활성화되어 핵에 특이적으로 위치합니다.
