Antibody detects endogenous levels of FGFR3 only when phosphorylated at Tyr760.
Target Information
FGFR3 is a member of the FGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This family regulates various cellular functions including angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tissue repair. FGFR family members are implicated in diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetic retinopathy. They differ in ligand affinities and tissue distribution. FGFR3 interacts with fibroblast growth factors, initiating downstream signaling that influences mitogenesis and differentiation. Mutations in FGFR3 are linked to craniosynostosis and skeletal dysplasia. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
