Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리의 구성원으로, 사이토카인 및 성장인자 자극에 의해 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화됩니다. 이후 호모 또는 헤테로다이머를 형성하여 핵으로 이동하고 전사 활성화 인자로 작용합니다. STAT5 alpha는 IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 및 다양한 성장호르몬의 반응을 매개합니다.
TEL/JAK2 유전자 융합과 관련된 골수종 및 림프종에서 STAT5 alpha의 활성화는 세포 자극과 무관하게 발생하며, 종양 발생에 필수적임이 보고되었습니다.
마우스 STAT5 alpha는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 세포의 항아포토시스 기능에 관여합니다. STAT5 alpha와 STAT5 beta는 96%의 서열 유사성을 가지며 대부분의 조직에서 함께 발현됩니다. STAT5 alpha는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능, 체성 성장 등 다양한 생리적 기능에 필수적입니다.
