Target Information

RPS6KA2 (RSK3) serine/threonine kinase is a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase (RSK) family. It acts as a signal-transducing intermediate in cellular responses to various growth factors. The protein is expressed in many tissues, with higher levels in lung and skeletal muscle.
The p90 ribosomal S6 kinases (RSK1–4) are downstream components of the ERK/MAPK cascade. Loss of RSK2 activity in humans results in Coffin-Lowry syndrome, characterized by mental retardation and growth deficits, potentially affecting G-protein coupled signaling regulation.
