Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, involved in the initiation of DNA replication. It belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other family members. The encoded protein is upregulated during the G0 to G1/S phase transition and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
