Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and M), but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 is a marker for cell proliferation and is used to determine the growth fraction of cell populations.
SolA15 also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00) according to standard intracellular staining protocols. Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 421 (BV421) emits at 423 nm and is optimized for cytometers with a violet (405 nm) laser.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product #00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during the late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain and localizes to euchromatin, centromeric heterochromatin, and the nucleolus.
Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker, absent in G0 cells but increasing from G1 through mitosis. In tumors, the Ki-67 labeling index correlates with growth rate and prognosis. It is also used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
