Target Information
Tenascin-R (TNR) is an extracellular matrix protein expressed primarily in the central nervous system. It belongs to the tenascin (TN) gene family, which includes at least three genes in mammals: TNC (hexabrachion; MIM 187380), TNX (TNXB; MIM 600985), and TNR. These genes are expressed in distinct tissues at different stages of embryonic development and are maintained in adult tissues.
