It has been successfully used in flow cytometry, ELISA, functional assays, immunohistochemistry (frozen), and immunoprecipitation applications.
In ELISA, antibody CRAM-18F26 can be used as a detection antibody.
The immunogen used for MA1-40060 is mouse JAM-C.
Target Information
JAM3 is involved in tight junction formation and mediates cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial and endothelial cell sheets. It forms continuous seals around cells to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space.
The encoded protein is localized in tight junctions between high endothelial cells and, unlike other family members, shows weak homotypic interactions and does not adhere to leukocyte cell lines. JAM3 belongs to the junctional adhesion molecule family and acts as a receptor for another member of this family.
