Target Information
Calcium Channel 1 is a protein encoded by the CACNB1 gene and belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family.
It plays a key role in calcium channel function by:
- Modulating G protein inhibition
- Increasing peak calcium current
- Controlling alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting
- Shifting voltage dependence of activation and inactivation
Dysfunction of Calcium Channel 1 protein is associated with malignant hyperthermia susceptibility.
